John is an award-winning journalist-turned-PR pro and Founding Director of communications consultancy Good Mahi. Founded in 2019, Good Mahi has helped dozens of organisations across Fundraising, Marketing, Communications and PR, as well as Crisis Communications.
You may recognise Fundraising PR work like YWAM NZ’s Fundraising PR appeal which raised $300,000 in three weeks, Reemi’s Fundraising PR appeal which gained 400 new donors in the space of a few weeks, through to public awareness campaigns such as ‘Why an Atheist Academic Changed her Mind on Churches’ Tax-free Status’, as well as Christian’s Against Poverty’s positive awareness media and regulatory change.
