Sacred Ground | Exploring Eco Theology at Cape Sanctuary

  • Cape Sancturay 389 Ocean Beach Road Ocean Beach, Hawke's Bay Region, 4294 New Zealand (map)

⚠️ EVENT CANCELLATION: Sacred Ground (Hawke's Bay)

We are disappointed to announce that the Sacred Ground | Exploring Eco Theology event scheduled for this Thursday, 9 July 2026 at Cape Sanctuary has been cancelled due to bad weather.

Because a significant part of our day together involved an outdoor tour of Cape Sanctuary, the forecasted severe weather makes it unsafe and impractical to go ahead.

We are bringing together Christian leaders from across the region for a day of reflection, connection, and honest kōrero about how we care for creation in our local communities.

During our time together, we will be taking part in the Cape Sanctuary tour to experience the incredible conservation work happening on the peninsula. You can find a bit more context on what to expect here: Cape Sanctuary Tour.

Here are all the key details:

  • Date: Thursday, 9 July 2026

  • Time: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

  • Location: Cape Sanctuary, 389 Ocean Beach Road, Hawke's Bay

  • Cost: Free to attend (lunch and refreshments are fully provided)

  • Hosts: Mo Morgan (A Rocha / Eco Church) and James Beck (The Wilberforce Foundation)

It promises to be a refreshing day of shared insights and encouragement.
